Tryon Wickersham 
Associate Professor
Texas A&M University Department of Animal Science
Dr. Tryon Wickersham is an associate professor of animal nutrition in the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M. He received his masters and doctorate in ruminant nutrition from Kansas State University. Dr. Wickersham teaches graduate level courses and laboratories in animal nutrition. He also directs research in ruminant nutrition with an interest in forage utilization and nitrogen metabolism. His previous research has focused on protein supplementation to cattle consuming low-quality forage and nitrogen metabolism in cattle consuming diets that are deficient in nitrogen.
 
 
Clay Burtrum

Clay Burtrum is a commercial cow/calf producer from Stillwater, Oklahoma, and he currently serves as the federation chair on the board of directors for NCBA.  Clay also works for Farm Data Services. Additionally, Clay and his father formed Burtrum Cattle LLC, a family operation that also includes Clay’s three daughters. In 2008, they added a commercial cow-calf operation. 
 
Steve Wooten

Steven Wooten is the president of Beatty Canyon Ranch, Inc., a multigenerational cow-calf enterprise in the Purgatoire River canyons of southeast Colorado. Steve’s family has been raising grass for cattle grazing since 1929, beginning a rotational grazing plan almost 30 years ago with the primary focus on maximizing rest periods after grazing. He is the current president of Colorado Cattlemen’s Association and the current chairman of the board of the United States Roundtable for Sustainable Beef.
