Peter O’Driscoll
Executive Director
EFI

Peter is the executive director of Equitable Food Initiative (EFI), a non-profit, skill-building and certification organization that improves working conditions, pest management and food safety in the fresh produce industry. EFI works with major buyers, suppliers, workers and consumer groups to provide greater assurance regarding supply chain conditions, while generating measurable value for all stakeholders.

Before helping to launch EFI in 2011, Peter served as executive director of ActionAid USA, an international development organization that works to address hunger, poverty and human rights around the world. From 2000-2006, he was director of the Private Sector in Development Project at the Center of Concern, leading research and advocacy on hunger, sustainability and market access in developing country agriculture. Peter was also Latin America Director for Ashoka, an organization promoting social entrepreneurship. Peter graduated from Harvard College in 1984 and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. 

 

Anabella de Freeman
Senior Manager, Sustainability Strategic Initiatives Produce 
Walmart

Anabella is a senior manager in Sustainability at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Bentonville, Arkansas. In her role, she 
is responsible for leading Walmart’s sustainable programs for the company’s fresh produce business focused on reducing environmental impacts and costs throughout the supply chain and driving responsible labor practices. In addition to forming strategies for emerging environmental issues for the company, Anabella works to support company-wide efforts to monitor sustainable sourcing and advance sustainable product procurement for Walmart’s global supply chain. Anabella works across multiple business units at Walmart, with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), companies and industry organizations.
 
Anabella joined Walmart’s Central America business 20 years ago, and over the course of her career with Walmart, has held roles in public relations; corporate affairs, including leading the Small Supplier Development program, “A Hand to Grow” in Walmart Central America; supported Walmart’s Latin American operations in the Women Economic Empowerment initiative and most recently, in Responsible Sourcing in Walmart US. She graduated from Harding University in 1998 with a degree in business administration and management. 

 

Ed Treacy
Vice President, Supply Chain & Sustainability
Produce Marketing Association (PMA)

 
Ed is the vice president, Supply Chain Efficiencies, with Produce Marketing Association (PMA) and has been with the company since 2010. As vice president, Ed is the expert in developing supply chain practices to lead the produce and floral industries forward. He serves as staff lead and technical consultant to the industry-wide Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) and leads all data synchronization and alignment initiatives for PMA.
 
Prior to his work at PMA, Ed has held senior level management positions since 1993, mostly in the area of Logistics, in companies, such as New Breed Corporations, Sobeys Inc. and Shoppers Drug Mart. He also served as the chairman of the International Federation for Produce Standards for five years and holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto.
