Bill Westerman
Vice President of Product Management
CalAmp
 
Bill is the vice president of product management for SaaS at CalAmp. In this role, he leads the team responsible for SaaS solutions for the K-12, government and commercial fleet markets. Bill joined CalAmp in April of 2019 and brings over 35 years of sales, marketing and product experience across multiple industries.

Before CalAmp, Bill was the senior vice president of marketing and sales support at Synovia Solutions, LLC, the leading supplier of telematics solutions for the K-12 school bus market which CalAmp acquired in April 2019. While with Synovia, Bill was responsible for leading the team to promote integrated SaaS solutions for the government markets and to launch Here Comes The Bus®, the award-winning school bus app for parents. 

Before Synovia, Bill was vice president of marketing for Everyday Solutions, another CalAmp K-12 telematics service provider who merged with Synovia in September of 2012. Earlier in his career, Bill worked for a variety of start-up and established software companies that provided solutions for product design automation, product portfolio management and innovation management.

 

Malika Ahuja
Principal Product Manager
iOn Suite CalAmp

Malika is responsible for driving the product roadmap and solutions for the fleet and asset inventory management web application of CalAmp’s iOn Suite solution. Malika joined CalAmp in July of 2020 and brings over 17 years of experience in technology and product management across multiple industries

Before CalAmp, Malika was the director of product management at Auction.com, leading the buy-side product experience on the platform. While at Auction.com, she was responsible for leading key initiatives to provide real time data on market analysis, rent yields, neighborhoods and local comps to investors to help improve the due diligence experience and drive higher engagement and retention on the platform.

Malika’s experience also includes working closely with IT consulting firms to help clients manage business requirements and lead Agile development teams from concept to delivery.

 

Marcel Van Dijk
Cargo Marketing Manager
The Port of Los Angeles

Since 2001, Marcel has been responsible for the business development of the Port, maintaining relationships with key individuals in the logistic chain as well as beneficial cargo owners.

His focus is on the bulk and break-bulk cargo handling, and he has responsibility as an account manager for bulk and containerized terminals at the Port of Los Angeles. With his knowledge of the major import and export cargoes, he is keen to develop the Port as a major gateway for containerized and non-containerized cargo. 

Prior to joining the Port of Los Angeles, Marcel worked for 15 years in the private sector, a career that spanned many phases of corporate management. His career in the USA started with Honeywell Transportation and Power Systems in 1997, where he was the after-sales business manager for their turbocharger product line. Prior to Honeywell, Marcel worked for Renault Cars in the Netherlands. 

 


Brian Edwards
National Transportation Manager
UNFI Produce

Brian is an experienced transportation professional, a high-performance team leader and strives for operational excellence.  Having been with UNFI Produce since 2009, Brian oversees the inbound transportation for UNFI Produce and takes pride in providing the best customer service to his internal customers and building partnerships with external vendors.  

As national transportation manager, his goals include on-time delivery into the distribution network and exceptional customer service. UNFI Produce Transportation consists of over 22,000 yearly full or partial loads of produce and fresh items into 22 produce distribution centers. Their service levels include 98% on-time inbound delivery into its distribution network and 98% truck/load utilization. Prior to joining UNFI, Brian worked with an LTL common carrier, Central Transport International Inc.

Stewart oversees all surface transportation across North America, supporting delivered sales of OPPY products as well as other key responsibilities. Previously, he was promoted to the position of director of transport following one year as transportation and supply chain manager, where he supervised transportation, warehouse, QC and manufacturing in our Calgary, Alberta, facility. Prior to joining OPPY, Stewart led a team focused on temperature-controlled transportation of perishables at C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc., Calgary.

Stewart has developed OPPY’s third-party logistics business via the evolution of OPPY Transport and consistently refines processes and systems within the transportation department. Representing OPPY on a number of the Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s working groups, Stewart currently sits on the Canadian Government Issue Management committee and the convention committee and previously sat on its marketing and education committees.
