This year, the global pandemic has challenged rural America like never before. But corn growers and ethanol producers have stood together to weather the storm and seize opportunities for growth. Today, these partners remain focused on the same mission: to drive demand and propel this industry forward. That’s why Growth Energy and the National Corn Growers Association are proud to present this virtual town hall where farmers, biofuel producers and leaders of both businesses and communities can hear about:
- The latest policy priorities for the biofuel and ag industry
- Opportunities for growth in the domestic and global marketplace
- The path to increased consumer choice at the pump via higher ethanol fuel blends
- Ways to elevate rural America’s voice among policymakers
Emily Skor joined Growth Energy as CEO in May 2016. She leads the country’s premiere biofuel trade association, representing 89 producers, 93 innovative businesses and tens of thousands of ethanol supporters around the country who work to bring consumers cleaner burning, more affordable fuel choices at the pump. Prior to joining Growth Energy, Skor was a top executive at the Consumer Healthcare Products Association and Dezenhall Resources, leading crisis communications and managing successful national campaigns that encompassed media, advocacy, coalition-building and consumer education.
John Linder, of Edison, Ohio, serves as president of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA). Linder, with his brother, Mike, and wife, Cheryl, run a fifth-generation farm, raising corn, soybeans, soft red winter wheat and soybeans for seed. He also has livestock experience.
