Dairy producers and nutritionists often will experience changes in milk fat, likely attributed to changes in forage sources, herd days in milk, or weather.  But is there more than meets the eye in this management challenge?

With butterfat accounting for more than half the milk check for most producers, there remains a strong incentive to optimize milk fat production.  New indicators and investigation support factors outside of the ‘norms.’

In this informative webinar, Dr. Bill Stone, Diamond V Technical Service Director, explores how to best minimize milk fat lows and provides both practical and thought-provoking tips on troubleshooting milk fat issues on dairy farms.

Based on research observed over a wide range of feeding situations, Dr. Stone shares insights and indicators that reveal several concurrent diet and management factors that can influence these swings in milk fat production – rather than a single factor, such as heat.

Areas that he touchs on include:
- Minimizing Milk Fat Lows
- Rumen Stability & Microbial Balance
- Multi-Factorial Effects on Milk Fat Production

Watch this information session to better understand factors that effect positive milk fat production.
